How to make the most of your visit

Suggestions our regulars love:

  • Warm your muscles up with an infrared sauna session first — helps your therapist go deeper with less tension.
  • If your stress feels more mental than muscular, a float session might be what your nervous system really needs.
  • Weekly massage + sauna credits are included in our flexible membership options.
  • Looking for a full reset? Add an ice bath + Finnish sauna session before your massage to boost circulation.

Massage FAQs

Will I be sore after my remedial massage?

It's common to feel tender for up to 3 days. Drink plenty of water and apply heat (wheat pack, hot shower, or infrared sauna) to help your body settle.

When shouldn't I get a massage?

If you're feeling unwell, have a fever, or an infectious skin condition — please call to reschedule. If you have a diagnosed medical issue, check with your GP first.

What's the difference between remedial and relaxation massage?

Remedial is targeted, working on a specific area of pain or dysfunction — it's not a full body massage. Relaxation is a full body, blissful session at the pressure you choose, designed for calm and sleep. If you want a full body massage, book relaxation.

I have allergies — will the oil be okay for me?

Let us know when you book so your therapist can prep the room with a suitable oil. We carry a range to suit everyone.

Can I go to the gym straight after my massage?

Better not. Your muscles need time to settle, and you're more prone to injury when freshly worked. A sauna or float beforehand is great — gym before is fine, gym straight after isn't.

I'm pregnant — can I still book?

Yes, from 13 weeks onwards. Let us know how many weeks you are so we can set the room up with our belly pillow and the right support.

Why can't I book 90 minutes online?

We rearrange the schedule slightly for 90-minute bookings, so it's phone-only. Call us during opening hours and we'll fit you in.

What should I do after my massage?

Head to the tea lounge, drink water or herbal tea, and follow any aftercare your therapist suggested — usually plenty of water, light stretching, and heat on tight spots.

What's your cancellation policy?

Appointments at Clear Mind Studio are reserved especially for you and require us to hold private rooms and schedule our team specifically for your session.

To keep things as fair and flexible as possible for our clients, we operate with a short six-hour cancellation window, which is significantly shorter than many wellness studios.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please do so at least six hours before your appointment time. Appointments cancelled within six hours of the scheduled start time will be treated as used.

For prepaid bookings, packages, memberships or gift cards, the session or value will be deducted. Bookings secured with a card on file will be charged the full service price.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
